Sound and Lighting Technician
- Is a certified rigger
- Can operate appropriate equipment and can handle them including computers
- Licensed operation of all appropriate materials/handling equipment
- Computer operation at a higher level than that of an employee at Level 3
- Updating certificates
- Refreshing knowledge of equipment and new technology introduced (moving lights, LED
projections)
Deputy Stage Manager
- Works under minimal supervision either as an individual or part of a team
or as a team leader
- Interprets detailed instructions and procedures for others
- readily adapts to change in work procedures and associated technologies
- Demonstrates specialist knowledge of a variety of procedures and/or techniques gained by
additional training
- Understands and implements quality control techniques
- ensures quality standards are met through consistency, timeliness, correctly following
procedures, and responsiveness to the client’s needs
- Refreshing ideas and concepts of WH&S because of new safety standards and sharing the
knowledge to Stage Manager
- Ensures knowledge of all available technologies
Props Master
- Can place equipment away safely and in a common area
- Can work independently when needed
- Can think creatively and share ideas effectively
- Operates, maintains, sets-up and adjusts all facility and production equipment, including trade
construction processes such as set/prop/electrical making
- Performs work under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment
- Interprets and conveys instructions and procedures
- Updating and gaining knowledge of available tools (tape measure)
- Not lighting prop cigarettes on stage
